length of program and hours:



This is 7-week program that offers morning and evening classes. The morning class meets Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 am - 2:45 pm. and evening class meets Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4:00pm - 9:30 pm. These classes includes classroom lectures, power points, workbook, class discussions and hands-on lab time. The classes also includes clinical rotation at a local nursing home facility from 7:30 am - 1:15 pm. for morning classes and 4:00 pm - 9:30 pm for the evening classes. The students will be paired with a CNA at the facility and an instruction will be present during this learning experience.

Basic Life Suport (BLS) for healthcare providers





The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Course offered by King Training Center is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support. This course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). BLS for Healthcare Providers teaches skills using the American Heart Associations' proven Practice-While-Watching technique which allows the instructor to observe students, provide feedback, and guide students in acquiring their skills. BLS course and Renewal sessions offered for Adult, Child, Infant CPR, and AED. A two-year certificate ecard is awarded after completion of the course. TESTING SITE:


King Training Center is an approved CNA State Testing site for In-Facility (students enrolled at King Training Center will be able to test at the school) and Regional testing (students from other schools are also welcomed to test here). They must register at www.credentia.com to test here. An approved Credentia test center evaluator conducts the exams.​



certified medication aide (cma) program



The Medication Aide Program is a Georgia State-Approved training program administered by Alliant Health Solutions. Students are required to be a Certified Nurse Aide(CNA) before enrolling in this class. Upon successful completion of the 24- hr. medication aide course and after a final skills checklist is completed, the CNA will be able to take the certified medication aide online examination. Once the CNA has passed the online written medication aide competency examination, a CMA certificate will be issued. The candidate will be placed on the Georgia Medication Aide Registry valid for a period of two years and will be able to administer physician ordered medications with some exclusions in Assisted Living Communities (ALC) and in some of the other state approved facilities.

The mission of the King Training Center is to develop and train competent CNAs whose skills and knowledge will help ensure positive outcomes for the healthcare needs of the global communities.


PHILOSOPHY:


The King Training Center believes that when competent, experienced CNAs are given the opportunity , guidance, and extraordinary education to address the health care needs of the global communities the nursing assistants will professionally carry out the mission of the center and that is to provide positive outcomes for the individual.


PROGRAM OUTCOME:


Upon completion of the CNA program, the graduate will be able to practice high quality nursing assistant care based on the regulations of the Georgia Medical Care Foundation (GMCF). The GMCF is a state governmental agency that is responsible for regulations of nursing assistants. This agency ensures that the public's safety and welfare are upheld on a continuous basis.
